Concert - Des Vents et des Cordes

For this concert, the instrumental ensemble Le Banquet Musical is made up of two violins, two recorders and a continuo combining harpsichord, positive organ and cello. Entitled "Des Vents et des Cordes", the program is an anthology of instrumental pieces from the 17th and 18th centuries, German (Schickhardt), English (Purcell), French (Sébastien de Brossard, de Boismortier) and Italian (Mancini, Sammartini, Vivaldi, Stradella).
The baroque vocal and instrumental ensemble Le Banquet Musical performs mainly in the Alsace region. It celebrates the anniversary of its creation every 5 years, with a specific program: the 10th with G.P.Telemann - the "Tageszeiten" (la Filature de Mulhouse), 15th with madrigals by Cl .Monteverdi and H.Purcell - Fairy queen-, 20th with some of the most beautiful and famous works of Baroque music, the Advent period with the complete interpretation of the Pastorale by M.A. Charpentier and the concerto grosso for Christmas night by A. Corelli. In 2023-2024, the "Féeries Baroques" program brought together the major composers of the 17th and 18th centuries in 9 concerts.
