Lac du Forlet

Description : The Lac du Forlet - Forlet Lake (or troutlake ) is located near the natural reserve of Gazon du Faing. At 1061 meters, it is the highest of any lake in the Vosges and is in an old glacial cirque with steep walls. The Tanet (1292m) and the Gazon de Faîte (1306m) dominate the lake witch is 2.8 ha. Thousand colors around the lake: from bog, steep walls, rock falls, trees and fir trees, this is probably one of the most beautiful lakes in the Vosges mountains, all making us think of an alpine setting. A picnic area on Lake invites you to rest. From the terrace of the eponymous ferme auberge, gourmets can enjoy the scenery while enjoying a typical marcaire meal with meat pie, smoked pork meat, Munster cheese and fruit pies.
