OUR ACTIVITIES

OurHIKING PROGRAM for 2024 is available in the header of the “Hikes” page: At the request of our members, we have also plannedSOFT WALKS rated difficulty 1/5 to allow everyone to enjoy our beautiful landscapes, but you will find hikes for all levels from 1 to 5/5. Be sure to wear good shoes, bring water (or a thermos in cold weather), warm clothing, and a raincoat in case of bad weather… and a packed snack for day hikes. OurERICHSON CHALET at Gaerstlerain has been open since May 1, except on Fridays. Come taste our new “Erichson plate”!
In 2023, 3,000 hikers and Nordic walkers participated in the guided outings led by our guides. The volunteers at the Erichson chalet served nearly 10,000 hikers. In our 470 km of trails, our work teams accomplished, among other things, the securing of the rock trail and the Spitzkoepfe trail, and the renovation of the trails of Bloy, Schaeferthal, and the Albert Schweitzer trail, totaling over 4,000 hours of work. A big thank you to everyone!
2023 was the year of our150th anniversary: We celebrated it in style on January 7 with a king cake, on April 30 and May 1 with the opening of our trails, from July 3 to 9 with a photo exhibition, and at our Mountain Festival on Sunday, August 6. Our Pink Walk against cancer on Sunday, October 15 was a success with over 200 participants, and we will continue it in 2024. The proceeds were donated to the League Against Cancer. Our night walk for Christmas on December 16 attracted 243 participants. You can find photos of these events in theMembers Area. For our 150th anniversary, the painterGeorges RATKOFF created a beautifullithograph representing the Fischboedle Lake, in a limited edition, sized 28 x 38 cm, signed by the artist and numbered from 1 to 150.
