Snowshoe outings - The snowy Tanet
Descriptif
Discover the beauty of the Hautes Vosges in winter, and the joys of snowshoeing for all in an unspoilt environment. This tour is suitable for young and old alike, so you can enjoy the magnificent alpine and Nordic landscapes of the Massif du Tanet. Our itinerary will explore forests and the Hautes Chaumes. Animal tracks and legends will accompany us, approximately 2h30 of snowshoeing.
Difficulty: The distance and gradient will be adapted to the motivation of the group. Accessible to anyone with no mobility problems.
Minimum age: 8 years.
Times: 2pm to 4.30pm.
Departure point: Meeting point at the Tanet car park.
Price: Adults: €25 and Children (aged 8-17): €20.
Price includes: free use of snowshoes and supervision by a qualified mountain leader.
A few tips: Participants should bring warm, mountain boots for all terrains. Ideal: hiking boots, after-ski boots possible (but no moon boots). Warm, waterproof clothing. Ideal: 3-layer system with fleece, waterproof and windproof jacket, warm gloves and hat. You should also bring a small rucksack with energy bars, drinks and sunglasses. Appropriate snowshoes, poles and safety equipment will be provided. Appropriate snowshoes and poles will be provided. Depending on the snow conditions, hiking crampons may be used instead of snowshoes.
You will need to use your own vehicle to get to the starting point.
Reminder of mountain law: Between 1 November and 31 March, it is compulsory to equip your vehicle with winter tyres or to have chains or snow socks in certain mountain communities.
Dogs and baby carriers are not permitted.
If the snow conditions are not sufficient, the outing will be changed to a walking tour.
A minimum of 4 participants is required for this snowshoe outing. If this number is not reached, we will warn you before the outing and we will reimburse you the totality of the sums paid.
